About Tim Hampton

Tim Hampton is senior vice president of OTR (over-the-road) Americas for WEX, responsible for maintaining and growing the OTR portfolios. Tim joined WEX in 2016 when the company acquired EFS, a corporate payments company with strong relationships in the transportation industry. Prior to that, Tim served as SVP for EFS’ eastern region fleet sales division and led that team to continuous year-over-year sales growth. As SVP of the eastern region, Tim was responsible for the management, growth and business development of EFS’ inside sales, regional sales and national sales eastern teams since joining the company in 2010.

Tim has over two decades of experience in the transportation payments industry where he has consulted with fleets of all sizes helping them better compete and serve their customers by improving efficiencies, mitigating risk and growing revenue. He began his career at Comdata as an inside sales associate and quickly accelerated his career to VP of regional sales, then VP of energy services, and ultimately VP of sales for both the central region and strategic groups before leaving the company. Tim graduated from Union University with a Bachelor of Science in finance and a minor in communication arts.
