Eco Miles
For our Esso Card™ customers, the WEX Eco Miles programme offers an accessible and meaningful way to contribute to responsible environmental initiatives. Through small monthly contributions, our customers are actively supporting WeForest’s vital reforestation projects – helping to restore thousands of hectares of forest and supporting the livelihoods of local communities in regions of Ethiopia, Senegal and Zambia.
Participating in Eco Miles not only supports ecosystem restoration but provides an opportunity to our customers to strengthen their commitment to responsible business practices. It allows for our customers to take a practical step towards enhancing their corporate social responsibility (CSR) profile and supporting their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.
To recognise their impact, WEX provides annual certificates showcasing the difference our customers’contributions are making – a valuable addition to sustainability reporting. Whether a customer is a sole trader or a multinational organisation, Eco Miles makes it simple to contribute to a better future while supporting broader business goals.

EcoVadis
EcoVadis is a global sustainability ratings company that provides assessments of companies’ environmental, social, and ethical performance. They evaluate businesses based on their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices across four main categories:
- Environment – Assessing environmental policies, energy usage, emissions, waste management, and sustainable sourcing practices
- Labor & Human Rights – Evaluating health and safety, working practices and conditions, as well as human rights issues
- Ethics – Measuring business integrity, anti-corruption practices and responsible marketing
- Sustainable Procurement – Reviewing how companies manage their supply chain in terms of environmental and social factors
EcoVadis provides companies with sustainability scorecards that highlight strengths, weaknesses and improvement areas, helping businesses to benchmark their performance, improve sustainability practices and demonstrate their commitment to responsible business operations to partners and clients.
At WEX, we are proud to have achieved a global benchmark score within a “good” category and we continue toward improving our outcomes even further.
Energy Transition

If you are transitioning to EVs, you may be looking for a solution to charge them at home, on the road or a combination of the two. We can already offer a solution which covers several European countries and we are working on expanding this further.
If you are hoping to reduce emissions by fuelling your ICE vehicles with alternatives such as HVO100, we are also here for you. With our fuel cards, accessing alternative fuels is straightforward, making it easier to take steps towards a more sustainable fleet.
