Since it debuted eight years ago, Instagram has grown to become a social media juggernaut. With one billion users and counting (nearly three times the active user-base of Twitter), the photo-sharing app is widely agreed upon as “Facebook’s smartest purchase ever.” Twitter storms rage around the accounts celebrities unfollow and whose posts they comment on, teens are bragging that posting sponsored content on their Insta is wayyyy easier than getting a summer job, and some of us are even running Instagram accounts for our dogs.
While the platform was embraced years ago by business to consumer brands, business to business companies are now joining the fray to find their audience on the channel. In fact, WEX has been more actively cultivating our presence on the platform this year, making a concerted effort to build dialogue around our culture and our philanthropic efforts. Our goal: to produce a vibrant feed that demonstrates what makes WEX such a great place to work.
