This month was “Global Travel Month” at WEX where a spotlight was shined on WEX’s global travel business. WEX’s Arts and Innovation Program contributed to the Global Travel Month festivities through mounting a travel photo exhibition in the back lobby of Long Creek. They asked our international employees to share photographs from their favorite travel experiences and hung them in an exhibition titled, “Wanderlust!”
The exhibit featured creative photos taken at travel and business locations across the globe. The photos were displayed in the Long Creek Gallery until mid-June, and then moved on to more permanent homes in the Foden building (South Portland), London and Melbourne – the offices that support our travel business. This exhibition shined a light on WEX’s Global Travel and gave us a chance to connect with the greater WEX community.
Over the coming months we’ll be sharing the photos with you. We hope you enjoy these beautiful images from around the world.
12 Apostles, Great Ocean Road

“This photo was taken at a feature named “12 Apostles” along the Great Ocean Road, which makes its way along Victoria’s western coastline. The 30km (approx. 19 miles) section between Princetown and Peterborough follows closely along the coastline and some of the region’s most spectacular coastal scenery is located in this stretch. The “apostles” are 8 limestone stacks situated just off the beach, alongside the cliff face, however only 7 are visible from the point at which this photo was taken. On occasion one will be so undermined by wave action that it collapses into the water (the most recent collapse occurred in 2005, the remains of which are visible in the lower left corner of the photograph). I took a weekend trip to this area last year, as part of the photography contest held at the time by WEX Inc. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal, but cleared sufficiently on the Sunday for some relatively good conditions and enjoyable photography.”
